Arthur Knight Shoes UK are proud to offer a fine selection of elasticated slip-on Chelsea Boots for men (also known as ‘dealer boots’) by famous designer brands. Popularised in the 1960s by famous musicians such as The Beatles, the most distinctive feature of the men’s Chelsea Boot style is its elastic siding, called a gusset, running from the heel to the top of the boot. The design originated as a type of riding boot known as jodhpur boots in the Victorian era.
Compared with laced shoes and boots, this style has the advantage of having both an easy slip-on nature (hence the sewn finger-pull-loop at the back of the Chelsea Boots) as well as a very ‘clean’ appearance on the foot as a result of the whole leather cut. It also supports the ankle area more than other styles, which some of our customers have found provides additional comfort during wear.
