Over a hundred years ago, Remy Richard-Pontvert created a company in Izeaux, France, located close to the city of Grenoble. He had the idea to produce a rubber sole shoe using latex imported from the port of Para in Brazil. In doing so, he created a unique rubber formula in his modest workshop which had the durable and comfortable sole properties he was searching for. The brand "Paraboot" was founded.
To this day, the company still makes its own rubber 'in house' for all their Paraboot production - a testament to the durability and quality of their products. With such a strong heritage and consistent quality, the Paraboot brand has become a trusted iconic product, immediately recognisable as a well known luxury French shoe brand.
